Gov­er­nor stresses bet­ter san­i­ta­tion sys­tem in Mul­tan

MUL­TAN—Pun­jab Gov­er­nor Ma­lik Rafique Ra­jwana di­rected the Wa­ter and San­i­ta­tion Agency (WASA) to im­prove san­i­ta­tion sys­tem of the city. He said of­fi­cers should per­form their du­ties with devo­tion and full com­mit­ment. The Gov­er­nor was speak­ing at meet­ing of WASA and health of­fi­cials here at Cir­cuit House on Fri­day.

Ra­jwana stated that pro­vi­sion of best health fa­cil­i­ties was the top pri­or­ity of the gov­ern­ment, adding that Kid­ney Cen­tre and new building of Chil­dren com­plex should be made op­er­a­tional soon.

He asked the of­fi­cials con­cerned to let him know if there were any funds is­sues so that he could get it re­solved. Ra­jwana said that gov­ern­ment had spent a huge amount on the health pro­jects for the masses.

On the oc­ca­sion, PML for­mer MNA Tariq Rasheed, MPAs, Mehdi Ab­bas, Ih­san ud­din Qureshi, DCO, Nadir Chatta, MD WASA, Waseem Ba­jwa, Prin­ci­pal NMI, Dr Kam­ran Sal­ick, ED Kid­ney Cen­tre Dr Rafique An­jum, EDO Health, Dr Iftikhar Qureshi, Head of Chil­dren Com­plex, Dr Mukhtar Hus­sain and others were also present.

Later, VCs of BZU, Dr Tahir amin, Women Univer­sity, Dr Shahida Hus­nain, and MNSUA, Dr Asif Ali called on Pun­jab Gov­er­nor at cir­cuit house. He asked VCs to im­prove the se­cu­rity sys­tem of the var­si­ties and if they re­quired funds for this pur­pose, do let him know.
