Protest rallies against drone strikes
HAFIZABAD—The activists of Sunni Tehrik and Defence of Pakistan Council today took out separate rallies to protest against the drone attack in Balochistan by the US imperialists. They raised slogans against the United States for interfering in the geographical frontiers of Pakistan and patronising India to ruin the peace in the region.
They strongly condemned the nefarious activities of anti-State and anti-Islam forces to harm the country. They also condemned the government for its silence and called upon the government to review its relation with the US. They further said that the whole nation is behind the armed forces to meet any challenge.
Meanwhile, local citizens have strongly criticised the government and WAPDA for its failure to provide uninterrupted power supply to them during the holy month of Ramazan.
Beside, loadshedding timings, the electricity played hide and seek with the people on Thursday and Friday. Even the power supply remained disrupted at Traveeh time and during the Juma congregation. The Khateebs of almost all the principal mosques have lashed out at the GEPCO chief and the Minister for Water and Power for their failure to provide some sort of relief to the fasting people.
The inhabitants of Alipur Road, Kashmir Nagar and Ali Town experienced day-long power disruption and they have taken out protest rally to protest against the anti-Muslim policy of the GEPCO.
