Deteriorating law & order in Karachi

Pakistan Observer - - OPINION - ABDULLAH AHMED

I wish to draw the attention of the readers and the concerned quarters in the government towards the deteriorating law and order situation in the city. It seems that antisocial activities are in rapid action once again. Many incidents of daylight thefts and killings have been reported during the recent days, concluding that nobody is safe.

Densely populated areas, especially those of the Central District are under these activities as well as desolated areas of east side are the centre of such activities and elements. The antisocial elements are also reportedly backing not only criminals but are also involved in underground business. Terrorists are also wandering in the broad daylight. Street crimes, target killing and even kidnapping cases are rising once again.

Unfortunately in spite of being in the knowledge of the forces and authorities, it is observed that these activists are not caught red handed. These pursuits are proving poor conditions of law and order situation as well as failure of all the claims about controlling of such elements in city. These elements are living as a part of the society. So I request the concerned authorities to look into this matter and take necessary action immediately. —Karachi
