Plane makes emer­gency land­ing at Karachi air­port

KARACHI—A UK-bound Sha­heen Air­lines plane made an emer­gency land­ing at Jin­nah In­ter­na­tional Air­port in Karachi af­ter one of its tyres burst dur­ing lift-off.

The Islamabad-Manch­ester flight NL901 car­ry­ing 150 pas­sen­gers and crew first tried to land in La­hore, but due to bad weather, it was di­verted to Karachi.

Ac­cord­ing to sources, one of the plane’s tyres burst dur­ing de­par­ture and pi­lot was in­formed by the Con­trol Tower.
