ISLAMABAD—The Supreme Court on Friday directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV) to resolve the tax matter and adjourned hearig of the case for an indefinite period.

The court also expressed annoyance over CDA for not implementing court orders.

The three-member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali heard the case.

During the course of proceedings, the counsel for CDA told the court that the matter regarding recovery of tax would be discussed in the board meeting.

The chief justice asked that the court announced verdict on May 4 but it was not implemented.

The counsel for PTV told the court that his client had cleared the property tax but the civic agency sent a Rs 30 million tax notice to it which was against rules.—APP
