22 sus­pects held with stolen car, arms & drugs

ISLAMABAD—The Islamabad Cap­i­tal Ter­ri­tory (ICT) Po­lice has in­ten­si­fied its cam­paign againt out­laws in or­der to en­sure peace and or­der dur­ing the Holy month of Ra­mazan. The cap­i­tal po­lice ar­rested 22 sus­pects in­clud­ing Afghan na­tion­als and re­cov­ered, stolen car, arms and drugs from their pos­ses­sion.

A spokesman of po­lice said that a team of ICT Po­lice on a tip-off con­ducted op­er­a­tion against the out­laws in Pin­do­rian area of the fed­eral cap­i­tal Islamabad. He said that dur­ing search op­er­a­tion 22 sus­pects in­clud­ing 13 Afghan na­tion­als were ar­rested along with a stolen car, two pis­tols, dozens of bul­lets and 150 gram hashish.

The po­lice af­ter reg­is­ter­ing cases against the nabbed sus­pects at re­spec­tive po­lice sta­tions have started in­ves­ti­ga­tion against them. —INP
