All Pak­istan tape ball cricket to start to­day

ISLAMABAD—Cap­i­tal Devel­op­ment Author­ity’s (CDA) all Pak­istan tape ball cricket tour­na­ment 2016 in con­nec­tion with Mar­galla Fes­ti­val will com­mence from Satur­day.

Forty teams from dif­fer­ent parts of the coun­try are par­tic­i­pat­ing in six day tour­na­ment.

In­au­gu­ral cer­e­mony of the tour­na­ment will be held at G-9 Markaz (Karachi Com­pany) Cricket Ground at 09:00 pm which will be par­tic­i­pated by Mem­ber En­vi­ron­ment, CDA Sanaulla Aman, Na­tional Cricket player Rana Naveed-ul-Has­san and Pres­i­dent Ten­nis Ball Fed­er­a­tion Ma­lik Me­herban Ali.

Prime Min­is­ter’s Ad­vi­sor Bar­ris­ter Zafer Ul­lah is ex­pected to be chief guest of in­au­gu­ral cer­e­mony. Fur­ther­more, Pak­istan Cricket Teams die-hard fan pop­u­larly known as ‘Chacha Cricket’ will also par­tic­i­pate in the in­au­gu­ral cer­e­mony.

Sports and Cul­ture Di­rec­torate has fi­nal­ized ar­range­ments of Mar­galla Fes­ti­val Tape Ball Cricket Tour­na­ment.

More­over colour­ful ac­tiv­i­ties in­clud­ing tra­di­tional dances, luddi, horse dance, pre­sen­ta­tion of po­lice band and dis­play of fire­works would be also ar­ranged on the oc­ca­sion. CDA has made spe­cial ar­range­ments for fam­i­lies who will come to spec­tate the matches.—APP
