Pakistan Observer - - KARACHI CITY - CITY REPORTER

KARACHI—The Sindh High Court Thursday ordered the Interior Ministry to file reply by Monday as to why the name of fashion Model Ayyan Ali, facing charges of carrying huge foreign currency outside Pakistan, was still on the Exit Control List

The court order came on an application from Ayyan who was prevented from leaving the country Wednesday night. She said she was allowed by the High Court on March 7 to travel abroad, but so far her name has not been removed from ECL.

The Additional Attorney-General Syed Salman Talibuddin told the court that federal government had appealed to the supreme court against the high court judgment. The supreme court had not given any interim order on the Islamabad petition.
