Tribute to General Raheel Sharif

Pakistan Observer - - OPINION -

ARSALAN SHAHZAD General Raheel Sharif is the incumbent Chief of Army Staff of the Pakistan Army. He is considered as one of the best and brave Generals in the world, because of his wide approach to tackle enemies in and out of country. His various operations to stabilize Pakistan and keep it clean from terrorism, are outstanding and admirable.

He decided to launch the operation (Zarb-e-Azb) on 15 June 2014, against various militant groups, including the Tahreek-eTaliban Pakistan (TTP), Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, alQaeda and the Haqqani network and now Pakistan Army has taken over the operation against the members of the terror organizations like Chotoo gang which was involved in terrorism in some part of Punjab and destroyed the law and order situation in our country. He has time and again expressed his determination to ensure a terror-free Pakistan. He paid rich tributes to the courage and sacrifices of our valiant troops to defend our beloved country and the nation.

General Raheel Sharif is also fighting the curse of corruption and dismissed 11 military officers found involved in corruption. The whole nation stands behind General Raheel in his struggle to eliminate corruption, terrorism and extremism from the country. The reasons for Raheel Sharif’s popularity are not difficult to comprehend in times of rampant terrorism, insecurity, corruption and a general disappointment with politics. —Karachi
