Govt conspiring to bribe politicians, seclude PTI: Imran
LAHORE—Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan on Saturday said if the Terms of References (TORs) catering the investigation of the Panama Leaks issue are not decided then the party will take to the streets, adding that the government will not be able to handle such a movement.
Addressing media here, Khan said that the government was prolonging the matter in order to avoid accountability. He stated that if the ToRs are not decided then the party will hit the streets with 10% of the country’s population.
PTI Chairman said that government will make efforts to seclude the party, further adding that the politicians shall also be bribed.
Answering a question, he said that the sitin was organised as a response of the government not probing the results of four constituencies of the general elections 2013.
Khan stated that it was later proved that rigging took place in all four of the constituencies. He said that if the party gets the opportunity then accountability shall be held against all four of the retired Election Commissioners.
Imran Khan said that the Election Commission of Pakistan is the “Election Commission of Pakistan Muslim League-N”, adding that all four of the previous commissioners were guilty.
