Hazara Mo­tor­way to be ready by De­cem­ber 2017

IS­LAM­ABAD—Work on the Hazara Mo­tor­way is in full swing and it will be­come op­er­a­tional by De­cem­ber 2017.

Talk­ing to APP an of­fi­cial of Na­tional High­way Au­thor­ity said that work on the first two pack­ages would be com­pleted by March 2017 while the pack­age III would be com­pleted by De­cem­ber next year.

He said that the 59 km Burhan-Havelian sec­tion of mo­tor­way form­ing part of the China-Pak­istan Eco­nomic Cor­ri­dor would cost Rs.30 bil­lion.

To a ques­tion,he said that the Burhan-Havelian sec­tion starts from near Burhan Interchange of the Pe­shawarIs­lam­abad Mo­tor­way (M-1) and con­cludes at Havelian. He said that the length of the pack­age was about 20 kilo­me­ter,of sec­ond 19 km and the third 19 km.

He said that the con­struc­tion of the mo­tor­way will change the des­tiny of the peo­ple of the area and usher in a new era of progress and pros­per­ity.
