Ap­pli­ca­tions in­vited for at­tend­ing Urs of Hazrat Nizam ud Din Au­lia

IS­LAM­ABAD—Min­istry of Re­li­gious Af­fairs and In­ter­faith Har­mony has in­vited the ap­pli­ca­tions for at­tend­ing the an­nual Urs of Hazrat Khawaja Nizam ud Din Au­lia by June 16, 2016. Ac­cord­ing to an of­fi­cial of Min­istry of Re­li­gious Af­fairs, the Urs cel­e­bra­tions are sched­uled to be held in Delhi, In­dia from Jan­uary 12 to 19, 2017. The ap­pli­cants are re­quired to sub­mit a non-re­fund­able fee of Rs 1,000 could be de­posited on­line in the Ac­count no 18499-3 Na­tional Bank of Pak­istan Main Branch (0341) Civic Cen­tre, G-6 Markaz. Orig­i­nal re­ceipt of the de­posited amount should be at­tached along­with the ap­pli­ca­tion. Ac­cord­ing to the min­istry, only 250 Pak­istani pil­grims are al­lowed to at­tend the Urs and in case the num­ber of ap­pli­cants ex­ceeds the re­quired quota, the lucky par­tic­i­pants would be se­lected on June 30 through bal­lot­ing.

Women are not el­i­gi­ble to ap­ply as de­ci­sion of the Coun­cil of Is­lamic Ide­ol­ogy. Aspir­ing pil­grims of un­der 25 years of age and per­sons, who al­ready at­tended any Urs in In­dia in last 18 months should not ap­ply. The ap­pli­ca­tion forms/de­tails could be down­loaded from the web­site of the min­istry www.ha­jjinfo.org or www.mora.gov.pk.

The each suc­cess­ful ap­pli­cant would be in­formed through in­ti­ma­tion let­ter af­ter one month of the bal­lot­ing. The suc­cess­ful ap­pli­cants are re­quired to sub­mit es­sen­tial ex­pen­di­tures and other travel doc­u­ments to sec­tion of­fi­cer (Ziarat), Min­istry of Re­li­gious Af­fairs and In­ter­faith Har­mony im­me­di­ately af­ter re­ceiv­ing the let­ters.

Orig­i­nal pass­port and trav­el­ing doc­u­ments are re­quired to be sub­mit­ted three months prior to the de­par­ture as se­cu­rity clear­ance of Zaireen needs at least two months as per agreed cri­te­ria.

In­dian em­bassy does not ac­cept the pass­ports for stamp­ing visa whose ex­piry date is less than eight months from the Urs dates. Such ap­pli­cants must re­new their pass­ports at the ear­li­est to avoid rejection of visa.
