PCB suggests Azhar in place of Mushtaq
LAHORE—While ignoring the request of new coach Mickey Arthur, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has suggested the name of all-rounder Azhar Mahmood for bowling coach-cum-mediator in place of Mushtaq Ahmed.
Arthur had asked the PCB to appoint Mushtaq on the said post to mediate between PCB, national team and coach.
The PCB, however, overlooked Mushtaq because he was working as a bowling coach at the National Cricket Academy and the academy would suffer if he travels with the national team to England for three months.
Therefore, the PCB suggested the name of Azhar with a plea that he was aware of the modern game and was most suitable for the post.—APP
