Modern computer lab set up
FAISALABAD—A state-of-theart computer lab has been established at Government Girls High School Bhatta Colony Sargodha Road with an estimated cost of Rs 2 million.
Hajji Abdur Rasheed Lahore Trust has provided financial assistance for the establishment of modern computer lab in the girls school.
Talking to media on Sunday, Muhammad Saeed Sheikh Chairman of the Trust told that 16 most modern computers have been provided in the computer lab which has also been equipped with latest furniture besides installation of air-conditioner.
187 fined over profiteering: The special price control magistrates have imposed a total fine of Rs 213,300 on 187 shopkeepers and fruit sellers for overcharging.
A spokesman of the local administration told here on Sunday that special price control magistrates while checking 293 shops and stalls in 177 markets of the city, found 187 shopkeepers involved in profiteering.
Shopekeepers have been warned to stop overcharging otherwise, legal action would be taken against them, spokesman added. A sum of Rs 14.7 million has been allocated for providing subsidy to the consumers in Ramazan Bazaars of district Faisalabad.
Secretary Market Committee Muhammad Yousuf while talking to media on Sunday said that as many as 19 Sastay Ramazan Bazaars have been established in various parts of the district where essential items were being provided to the people at subsidized rates.—APP
