MULTAN— Pro­vin­cial Min­is­ter for Agri­cul­ture Dr Far­rukh Javed said the aim of Ramzan bazaars was to pro­vide com­modi­ties to peo­ple at the cheap­est rates. Peo­ple were pur­chas­ing a good num­ber of com­modi­ties from Ramzan bazaars, the min­is­ter said while vis­it­ing Ramzan Bazaars in Sahi­wal and Pak­pat­tan on Sun­day. The Pun­jab gov­ern­ment had ex­tended huge sub­sidy to fa­cil­i­tate the masses in these bazaars, he said adding that a 10kg bag of flour is be­ing sold at Rs 290 while sugar at Rs 55/Kg in the bazaars. The min­is­ter said the gov­ern­ment was also tak­ing ac­tion against prof­i­teers by con­duct­ing raids on dif­fer­ent mar­kets.—APP
