MQM del­e­ga­tion vis­its Edhi to in­quire af­ter his health

KARACHI—A del­e­ga­tion of the Mut­tahid Quami Move­ment (MQM) met ail­ing phi­lan­thropist Ab­dul Sat­tar Edhi at a pri­vate hospi­tal in the city. Ac­cord­ing to de­tails, a hand­out is­sued by the party stated that a MQM del­e­ga­tion had paid Edhi a visit to in­quire af­ter his health. MQM mem­ber Rauf Sid­diqui wished for Edhi’s health dur­ing the visit and also pre­sented him with the wa­ter which is used to bath the Holy Kaaba.

Ab­dul Sat­tar Edhi, Pak­istan’s most renowned Karachi-based phi­lan­thropist, is cur­rently un­der­go­ing med­i­cal treat­ment ow­ing to his ill­ness. On Sun­day, daugh­ter of for­mer Pak­istani Prime Min­is­ter Be­nazir Bhutto, Aseefa Bhutto, also paid the ail­ing man a visit to in­quire about his health. Aseefa ex­pressed her good wishes and con­cern for Edhi’s wealth. Ear­lier, for­mer Pak­istani Pres­i­dent and PPP leader Asif Ali Zar­dari had of­fered to pay for Mr Edhi’s treat­ment abroad. How­ever, Edhi had de­nied and in­stead ex­pressed his de­sire to be treated in Pak­istan.
