North Shire qual­i­fies for semis in Su­per Cup

KARACHI—North Shire Cricket Club be­came Group B Cham­pion af­ter beat­ing Saima cricket Club by 5 wick­ets, af­ter 3rd con­sec­u­tive vic­tory qual­i­fied for the semi Fi­nals of Naz­imabad Su­per Cup Cricket Tour­na­ment at KCCA Sta­dium.

Bat­ting first, Saima Cricket could not face an ac­cu­rate bowl­ing and were all out at 92 runs in stip­u­lated overs.

Am­mar Has­san made 26 with 3 bound­aries and Mu­dasar Ghu­lam 20 with 2 sixes.

Right Arm Spiner and all-round Ak­bar-urRehman grabbed 3 wick­ets con­ced­ing 19 runs. So far Rehman achieved 13 wick­ets in three matches in Group B, while Ju­naid Ilyas and Muham­mad Has­san Khan took 2 wick­ets each.

Chas­ing 92 runs, North Shire achieved eas­ily the tar­get in 15.3 overs loos­ing 5 wick­ets.

All-round Ak­bar-u-Rehman blasted 21 runs off 10 balls with the aid of 4 fours, Shah­yar Ghani 20 and Babar Agha made un­beaten 20 runs.

Mu­das­sar Ghu­lam and Roni Gill took 2 wick­ets each.

For­mer first class crick­eter Tahir Nisar de­clared Ak­bar-ur-Rehman as the man of the match for show­ing all-round out­stand­ing per­for­mance in the match.
