NADRA starts re­ceiv­ing slashed SNIC fee

IS­LAM­ABAD —Na­tional Data-base and Reg­is­tra­tion Author­ity (NADRA) has of­fi­cially started re­ceiv­ing the de­creased fee re­quired for is­suance of new and re­newal of Smart Na­tional Iden­tity Card (SNIC). ]

Min­is­ter for In­te­rior, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan had or­dered NADRA to de­crease the fee re­quired for mak­ing a new SNIC to make it more ac­ces­si­ble for peo­ple and it has now started re­ceiv­ing the slashed fee SNIC in phases.

The sources said fee for SNIC in nor­mal cate-gory would be re­duced to Rs. 400 within a month as work is in progress to make the sys­tem vi­able at more than 500 cen­tres of NADRA across the coun­try.—APP
