Campaign against food outlets

Pakistan Observer - - TWIN CITIES -

RAWALPINDI—Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) would launch crackdown from next week against the food outlets not meeting cleanliness and hygienic standards.

According to RCB spokesman, the civic body has given seven days time to the food outlets including hotels, restaurants, bakers, beef, fruit and other shops to fulfill cleanliness measures. Raids would be conducted in RCB areas at all food outlets and quality of food items would be checked. No one would be allowed to play with the people’s health, the spokesman added.

He warned the owners of food outlets to make proper arrangements to ensure cleanliness standards in the process of preparing and serving food. Strict action would be taken against the violators, he said adding that their business would be sealed if they fail to meet the required standard.

There was no place for those indulging in sale of substandard food items and minting money.—APP
