Traders hail Pun­jab bud­get

MUL­TAN—The traders com­mu­nity on Tues­day termed the Pun­jab Bud­get peo­ple-friendly and hailed the govern­ment for pre­sent­ing a his­toric bud­get. Traders As­so­ci­a­tion of Mul­tan Cant Pres­i­dent Chaud­hary Muham­mad Ali said the govern­ment had pre­sented a bal­ance bud­get af­ter al­lo­cat­ing hefty amount for health and ed­u­ca­tion sec­tors. For­mer vice pres­i­dent of Can­ton­ment Board and Trader of Mul­tan Cant Haji Fazal Hus­sain Chandya said it was an ex­am­plary bud­get un­der the given cir­cum­stances. Sec­re­tary Gen­eral of Trans­port Own­ers As­so­ci­a­tion Rana As­ghar and Trade leader Khawaja Moaz­zam also hailed the bud­get. Mem­ber Na­tional Peace Com­mit­tee and trade leader Kalb Abid Khan said the present bud­get would def­i­nitely pro­vide ben­e­fits to the masses and raise their liv­ing stan­dard. Mem­ber Can­ton­ment Board Chaud­hary Tariq Niaz said the govern­ment had taken a good step by fo­cus­ing on ed­u­ca­tion to end ig­no­rance from so­ci­ety.—APP
