SSGC make ster­ling start in Ra­mazan Cup

KARACHI—Sui South­ern Gas Com­pany (SSGC) launched their cam­paign in lu­cra­tive Rs. Two Mil­lion prize money Naya Naz­imabad Ra­mazan Cup Flood­light Cricket Tour­na­ment in style with an im­pres­sive five wicket suc­cess over Alam­gir Gymkhana here at the Lawai Sta­dium on Tues­day morn­ing.

The duo of Muham­mad Taimoor and Zia-ul-Haq starred in their team’s tri­umph. They were de­clared joint man of the match for their ef­fort.

Bat­ting first, Alam­gir Gymkhana could man­age 1219 in their 20 overs. Fa­had-ulHaq made 34 in 31 balls with two fours and one six.

Lanky medium pacer Zi­aul-Haq snapped up two wick­ets for nine runs in a fiery four overs spell.

Taimoor slammed an at­tack­ing 35 in just 12 balls with three tow­er­ing sixes and four bound­aries.

Saif Badar hit two sixes and one bound­ary in his 23 af­ter fac­ing 17 balls as SSGC romped home for the loss of five wick­ets with five balls to spare.—APP
