Bid to smug­gle 148 black scor­pi­ons to Bangkok foiled

KARACHI—Sind Wildlife Depart­ment foiled a bid to smug­gle 148 black scor­pi­ons to Bangkok at Karachi Air­port on Tues­day. Game Of­fi­cer Sindh Wildlife Depart­ment Rasheed Ahmed said that the Depart­ment dur­ing oper­a­tion at Karachi Air­port re­cov­ered 148 black scor­pi­ons from a box.

Rasheed Ahmed said that the re­cov­ered scor­pi­ons worth hun­dreds of thou­sand ru­pees in in­ter­na­tional mar­ket. The box was booked for Bangkok from Mir­pur Khas by ac­cused iden­ti­fied as Ab­dul Rehman. A case has been reg­is­tered against cul­prit, in­ves­ti­ga­tion was in progress.
