NAB raids KU vice chancellor office, seizes record
KARACHI—The NAB ,in a surprise move, raided the office of the Karachi University Vice Chancellor ,and took in possession records, but no explanation was offered as to the reason that prompted the federal investigators to resort to such tactics
Sources revealed that enquiries have been on against sitting VC Dr Qaiser, and predecessor Qasim Pirzada, but what kind of probe and for what reasons is still a mystery. NAB said that it also recorded statements of four employees of the administration block.
Dr Muhammad Qaisar was appointed as the Vice Chancellor of Karachi University on February 10, 2012. His tenure as the Vice Chancellor of the university was to end on February 9 of this year however, Governor Ishrat-ul-Ibad extended his tenure with the powers vested in him as the Chancellor of Karachi University.
