ALI RAZA MUZAF­FARABAD—To en­sure the con­duc­tion of trans­par­ent and im­par­tial elec­tions of Azad Jammu and Kash­mir Leg­isla­tive As­sem­bly the Chief Elec­tion Com­mis­sioner of Azad Jammu and Kash­mir Jus­tice Ghu­lam Mustafa Mughal un­der Sec­tion 6 of Azad Jammu and Kash­mir Leg­isla­tive As­sem­bly (elec­tions)or­di­nance 1970 sub sec­tions 4,5&8 and its sub suc­tion 1A has ap­proved to del­e­gate his pow­ers to newly ap­pointed dis­trict re­turn­ing of­fi­cers. MUZAF­FARABAD: Chair­man Muzaf­farabad city Devel­op­ment Foun­da­tion (MCDF) Zahid Amin Ad­vo­cate through a state­ment recorded his strong protest over un­pro­voked fir­ing by Afghan forces on the Torkham bor­der cross­ing. The fir­ing in­ci­dent was con­trary to the spirit of friendly re­la­tions be­tween Pak­istan and Afghanistan. The in­ci­dent was sparked dur­ing the con­struc­tion of a gate inside Pak­istani ter­ri­tory to check the move­ment of ter­ror­ists across the bor­der. Islamabad: Mem­ber Na­tional As­sem­bly and Chair­per­son political af­fairs of Pak­istan Peo­ples Party (PPP) Faryal Talpur have said that PPP Azad Jammu and Kash­mir (AJK) is pub­lic force and would suc­ceed in next polls of AJK. While chair­ing a meet­ing of PPP AJK’s me­dia team held in Zar­dari House, she said that the gov­ern­ment of PPP has ful­filled all its prom­ises made with the peo­ple of Kash­mir in­clud­ing es­tab­lish­ment of three med­i­cal col­leges, IT uni­ver­si­ties for women, up gra­da­tion of about 300 ed­u­ca­tional in­sti­tu­tions through ed­u­ca­tion pack­age, health cen­ters, con­struc­tion of over 2500 km long roads, pro­vi­sion of jobs and launch­ing of wa­ter sup­ply schemes with the cost of bil­lions of ru­pees have changed the map of the state, that is why, out op­po­nents have started to level al­le­ga­tions on us. Laud­ing the out­stand­ing per­for­mance of PPP’s gov­ern­ment in AJK, Faryal Talpur said that de­spite cre­at­ing hur­dles and fund cuts on devel­op­ment projects by the fed­eral gov­ern­ment, the gov­ern­ment un­der the chair­man­ship of PM Chaudhry Ab­dul Ma­jeed has showed unique per­for­mance.

Faryal Talpur fur­ther said that lib­er­a­tion of In­dian Oc­cu­pied Kash­mir (IOK), elim­i­na­tion of ter­ror­ism and ex­trem­ism, to con­trol over the en­ergy crises, unbeatable de­fense and sta­ble fed­er­a­tion are the pri­or­i­ties of Chair­man party Bi­lawal Bhutto Zar­dari. In the meet­ing, it was de­manded to hold the up­com­ing elec­tions of AJK un­der the su­per­vi­sion of Army and Rangers and also de­manded to the Chief Elec­tion Com­mis­sioner Jus­tice Mustafa Mughal to take im­me­di­ate ac­tion over the mis­use of gov­ern­ment re­sources to in­flu­ence on the up­com­ing gen­eral polls by the fed­eral gov­ern­ment and fed­eral min­is­ters.—Email
