CEC delegates his powers to district returning officers
ALI RAZA MUZAFFARABAD—To ensure the conduction of transparent and impartial elections of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly the Chief Election Commissioner of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Justice Ghulam Mustafa Mughal under Section 6 of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly (elections)ordinance 1970 sub sections 4,5&8 and its sub suction 1A has approved to delegate his powers to newly appointed district returning officers. Islamabad: Member National Assembly and Chairperson political affairs of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Faryal Talpur have said that PPP Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) is public force and would succeed in next polls of AJK. While chairing a meeting of PPP AJK’s media team held in Zardari House, she said that the government of PPP has fulfilled all its promises made with the people of Kashmir including establishment of three medical colleges, IT universities for women, up gradation of about 300 educational institutions through education package, health centers, construction of over 2500 km long roads, provision of jobs and launching of water supply schemes with the cost of billions of rupees have changed the map of the state, that is why, out opponents have started to level allegations on us. Lauding the outstanding performance of PPP’s government in AJK, Faryal Talpur said that despite creating hurdles and fund cuts on development projects by the federal government, the government under the chairmanship of PM Chaudhry Abdul Majeed has showed unique performance.
