Po­lice raids on houses of Naqash, Dar de­nounced

SRINAGAR—In oc­cu­pied Kash­mir, In­dian po­lice con­ducted raids on the res­i­dence of APHC leader and the Chair­man of Is­lamic Political Party (IPP), Muham­mad Yousuf Naqash, and the house and the of­fice of the Jammu and Kash­mir Lib­er­a­tion Front-R, Fa­rooq Ahmed Dar, in Srinagar.

The IPP spokesman in a state­ment is­sued in Srinagar while con­demn­ing the po­lice raids on the res­i­dence of party Chair­man said that po­lice had be­come ha­bit­ual of raid­ing the house of Muham­mad Yousuf Naqash. He said that even in this holy month of Ra­mazan, the party Chair­man’s res­i­dence was raided sev­eral times, which is ex­tremely con­demnable.

“The whole fam­ily gets dis­turbed through such fre­quent raids. Ac­tu­ally this is noth­ing but the frus­tra­tion of au­thor­i­ties,” he said.

Mean­while, the pa­tron of JKLF-R Bar­ris­ter Ab­dul Ma­jeed Tram­boo, in a state­ment is­sued in Srinagar con­demned the pup­pet ad­min­is­tra­tion for po­lice raids on the res­i­dence of Fa­rooq Ahmed Dar. He said that the po­lice were un­nec­es­sar­ily ha­rass­ing the party lead­ers and ac­tivists. He main­tained that such high­hand­ed­ness of po­lice could not cow down the spirit of re­sis­tance lead­ers and ac­tivists.—KMS
