Police raids on houses of Naqash, Dar denounced
SRINAGAR—In occupied Kashmir, Indian police conducted raids on the residence of APHC leader and the Chairman of Islamic Political Party (IPP), Muhammad Yousuf Naqash, and the house and the office of the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front-R, Farooq Ahmed Dar, in Srinagar.
The IPP spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar while condemning the police raids on the residence of party Chairman said that police had become habitual of raiding the house of Muhammad Yousuf Naqash. He said that even in this holy month of Ramazan, the party Chairman’s residence was raided several times, which is extremely condemnable.
“The whole family gets disturbed through such frequent raids. Actually this is nothing but the frustration of authorities,” he said.
Meanwhile, the patron of JKLF-R Barrister Abdul Majeed Tramboo, in a statement issued in Srinagar condemned the puppet administration for police raids on the residence of Farooq Ahmed Dar. He said that the police were unnecessarily harassing the party leaders and activists. He maintained that such highhandedness of police could not cow down the spirit of resistance leaders and activists.—KMS
