More show­ers, gusty winds ex­pected

ISLAMABAD—More scat­tered rain/dust- thun­der­show­ers with iso­lated heavy falls and strong gusty winds are ex­pected in Up­per Pun­jab (Rawalpindi, Gu­jran­wala, La­hore, Sar­godha, Faisal­abad, Sahiwal di­vi­sions) dur­ing the next 24 hours. Ac­cord­ing to the Met of­fice, iso­lated rain/dust­thun­der­storm is also ex­pected in south Pun­jab (Multan, D.G Khan, Ba­hawalpur di­vi­sions).

Sea­sonal low lies over north Balochis­tan with its trough ex­tend­ing south-east- ward. Moist cur­rents from Ara­bian sea are pen­e­trat­ing up­per parts of the coun­try and likely to con­tinue dur­ing the next 24 hours. West­erly wave is still af­fect­ing up­per parts of the coun­try and may per­sist dur­ing the next 18 to 24 hours, it added.—APP
