Brick kiln labourer burnt alive

NAWABSHAH—A young brick kiln labour burned alive when he lost bal­ance and fell into the burn­ing kiln near New Saeed­abad town. He was ad­mit­ted at Peo­ples Med­i­cal Col­lege Hospi­tal where doc­tors said that he has burned 80% while hospi­tal has no fa­cil­ity of burn pa­tients. The labour Shahid Dahri was res­i­dent of vil­lage Salahud­din Dahri.

He was later shifted to Civil Hospi­tal Karachi where he died. Mu­rad Ali Dahri fa­ther of young labour said that owner of the kiln paid him Rs.15000 and an­other sum of Rs.3000 for treat­ment at Karachi.

He said that the owner nei­ther vis­ited hospi­tal not at­tended the fu­neral ses­sion. He vowed that son Shahid Dahri was not pro­vided any safety dress as de­scribed by labour depart­ment found sleep­ing on the is­sue.
