CJP di­rects for timely com­pli­ance of court di­rec­tions

ISLAMABAD—Chief Jus­tice of Pak­istan Mr. Jus­tice An­war Za­heer Ja­mali Thurs­day re­viewed the per­for­mance of last six months of Hu­man Right Cell of Supreme Court of Pak­istan and di­rected Di­rec­tor Gen­eral of the Cell to en­sure proper and timely com­pli­ance of the Court di­rec­tions by the pub­lic func­tionar­ies.

The Chief Jus­tice was in­formed that HR Cell work­ing un­der the di­rect su­per­vi­sion of his Lord­ship, re­ceives av­er­age 2500 ap­pli­ca­tions per month.

The back­log of ap­pli­ca­tions in the HR Cell of Apex Court on 01st De­cem­ber 2015 was 10750 ap­pli­ca­tions. As 14893 new ap­pli­ca­tions were in­sti­tuted dur­ing the pe­riod from 01st De­cem­ber, 2015 to 31st May 2016, the pro­gres­sive to­tal of pend­ing ap­pli­ca­tions came to 25343 ap­pli­ca­tions. Out of th­ese, 15740 ap­pli­ca­tions were dis­posed of dur­ing the above men­tioned pe­riod. The back­log on 31st May 2016 re­mained 9903 ap­pli­ca­tions.
