Peo­ple’s re­spect for army has re­duced: In­dian Min­is­ter

JAIPUR—In­dian De­fence Min­is­ter, Manohar Par­rikar, has said that In­dian sol­diers are fac­ing im­mense dif­fi­cul­ties be­cause peo­ple’s re­spect for the army has re­duced.

Manohar Par­rikar said this while ad­dress­ing a sem­i­nar in Jaipur. The army’s im­por­tance has di­min­ished be­cause the coun­try hasn’t gone to bat­tle in the past 4050 years, he said.—KMS
