KP Govt to support polo teams during Shandur Polo festival
PESHAWAR—Special Assistant to Chief Minister for Tourism Abdul Maneem on Thursday said the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government would support polo teams of Gilgit-Baltistan during Shandur Polo Festival.
Presiding over a meeting here to review arrangements for Shandur festival, he said the provincial government intends to promote tourism in KP, adding that all the local and foreigner tourists to be come to witness Shandur polo festival would be guest of the provincial government.
He said that KP Tourism Corporation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would support Camping Village, Cultural Music, Paragliding and other activities during the festival and would make the event a big success of the year.
He convened a meeting of all stakeholders in next week in Chitral to finalize the arraignments and activities.
The meeting was attended by MPAs Fozia Bibi, Sardar Hussain, Salim Khan, District Nazim Chitral Maghfirat Shah, Managing Director TCKP Mushtaq Ahmed Khan, GM Admini Sajjad Hameed, GM TICs Muhammad Ali, Chief Planning Officer Hayat Ali Shah and others.—APP cruised to a 6-3, 6-4 victory on Thursday.
