Peo­ple ad­vised to take pre­cau­tions in case of rain

KARACHI—Karachi Metropoli­tan Cor­po­ra­tion (KMC), on Thurs­day ad­vised the gen­eral pub­lic to ob­serve pre­cau­tion­ary mea­sures in view of the ex­pected rain.

In a state­ment, the KMC ad­vised peo­ple to avoid touch­ing wet walls and elec­tric polls.

It also ad­vised peo­ple to main­tain dis­tance from sign boards, trees and slum-walls in case of heavy rain, thun­der­shower or hur­ri­cane.

The cit­i­zens were also ad­vised to use boil wa­ter, thor­oughly wash veg­eta­bles with clean wa­ter be­fore us­ing, do not use rot­ten fruits or veg­eta­bles. The KMC also ad­vised to im­me­di­ately visit near­est health cen­tre in case of any ill­ness and take all nec­es­sary pre­cau­tion­ary mea­sures in the mon­soon sea­son.—APP
