PE­SHAWAR— Pro­vin­cial Min­is­ter for Food Qa­lan­dar Khan Lodhi and Pro­vin­cial Sec­re­tary for Food, As­mat­ul­lah Khan Gan­da­pur vis­ited Hay­atabad where he in­spected avail­abil­ity and prices of com­modi­ties of daily use items, say­ing un­law­ful prof­i­teer­ing would not be spared. They vis­ited dif­fer­ent mar­kets and stores at Phase 1, 2 and 3 in Hay­atabad and re­viewed prices of daily use items there. They im­posed fines on shop­keep­ers for not dis­play­ing price lists is­sued by the dis­trict ad­min­is­tra­tion, low-weight of bread and sell­ing of sub-stan­dard ma­te­ri­als and is­sued warn­ing to sev­eral oth­ers for strict ac­tion. Sec­re­tary As­mat­ul­lah Khan Gan­da­pur di­rected of­fi­cials of Food Depart­ment to reg­u­larly check bazaars dur­ing Ra­madan in other dis­tricts of prov­ince and took strict ac­tion against un­law­ful prof­i­teer­ing, price hik­ers and hoard­ers.
