Dengue aware­ness cam­paign

RAZA NAQVI ATTOCK—Pro­vin­cial Ad­vi­sor Health Khawaja Sal­man Rafiq has said that dengue is a con­trol­lable dis­ease but for the pur­pose we must keep our sur­round­ing clean and avoid ac­cu­mu­la­tion of water in and sur­round­ings of our houses. He said that Chief Min­is­ter Pun­jab Mian Shah­baz Sharif him­self is mon­i­tor­ing the ar­range­ments be­ing made across the Pun­jab to con­trol dengue.

He said this while chair­ing spe­cial meet­ing re­gard­ing Dengue Con­trol here in Attock. The meet­ing was at­tended by DCO Rana Ak­bar Hayat, ADC Ikram ul Haq , TMOs and health of­fi­cers. Khawaja Sal­man Rafiq said that all the con­cerned to re­main vig­i­lant, as no lethar­gic at­ti­tude to­wards con­trol­ling dengue will be tol­er­ated. He said, the dengue con­trol teams to per­form their duty re­li­giously to keep con­trol dengue in the dis­trict.

He em­pha­sised upon the of­fi­cers to visit un­der con­struc­tion build­ings, ho­tels and tyre shops and en­sure there is no water ac­cu­mu­lated in any shape. He said, print and elec­tronic me­dia to play vi­tal role cre­at­ing aware­ness re­gard­ing dengue.
