VC concerned over out of order dialysis machines
LARKANA—Vice Chancellor Shaheed Muhtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University (SMBBMU) Larkana Professor Ghulam Asghar Chana chaired the 5th meeting of ‘Hospital Management Board’ to review the health services being provided in Chandka Medical College Hospital and develop-ment works.
Vice Chancellor told meeting the objective behind the formation of HMB to monitor the health services and ensuring the utilization of resources in transparent way, so that health delivery system could be improved.
Vice Chancellor expressed concern over the 8 non operative dialysis machines in nephrology department and MRI machine, added that 8 dialysis machine, out of 18 are out of order in CMC Hospital, he directed that Medical Superintendent to pay his attention in this regard to repair the dialysis machines and MRI machine in time, so that, ailing people could take sigh of relief.
VC said that, ‘we want to provide the quality health services to people of Upper Sindh, in this respect, kidney transplantation centre, bone marrow transplantation, installation of oxygen plant would be set up at CMC Hospital Larkana for facilitation of citizens. Adding that hospital administration have to set up modern Operation Theaters (OT) in this regard.
He expressed dissatisfaction over the slow pace of development works and directed the concerned officials to accelerate their efforts to ensure completion of schemes in its stipulated time.
