KP assem­bly meets just for six min­utes

PESHAWAR —Speaker Khy­ber Pakhtunkhwa Assem­bly Asad Qaiser on Satur­day ad­journed the bud­get ses­sion min­utes af­ter its re­sump­tion for de­bate on bud­get for fis­cal year 2016-17.

Ac­cord­ing to re­ports, bud­get ses­sion re­sumed with Asad Qasier in the chair on Satur­day. Soon af­ter its re­sump­tion, the speaker ad­journed the sit­ting with­out any pro­ceed­ing with­out giv­ing any rea­son.

The ses­sion con­tin­ued only for six min­utes to dis­cuss the bud­get. Talk­ing to me­dia af­ter ses­sion, Sar­dar Hus­sain Babak, parliamentary leader of ANP, an­nounced to ap­proach the Peshawar High Court in this re­gard.

He said that speaker ad­journed the ses­sion with­out any rea­son de­spite com­plete quo­rum. He said that it seems dif­fi­cult for Pak­istan Tehreek-e-In­saf (PTI) to pass the bud­get. The PTI own law-mak­ers crit­i­ciz­ing the bud­get and its gov­ern­ment.
