Eco­nomic re­lief be­ing pro­vided to con­sumers in Ra­mazan bazaars

BA­HAWALPUR—Pro­vin­cial Min­is­ter for Co-Op­er­a­tive Ma­lik Muham­mad Iqbal Chan­ner said that mil­lions of con­sumers have been pro­vided eco­nomic re­lief through Chief Min­is­ter Pun­jab’s spe­cial Ramzan pack­age of Rs 5 bil­lion at 318 Ramzan Bazars es­tab­lished in 36 dis­tricts of the province. He made th­ese re­marks dur­ing a sur­prise visit of Ra­mazan Bazars here.

“Ad­e­quate quan­tum of sugar and flours have been placed at fair price shops at con­ces­sion­ary rates to en­sure a sus­tain­able and ef­fec­tive de­liv­ery mech­a­nism of sup­ply­ing th­ese kitchen items to the con­sumers at the Ra­mazan Bazars in the province”, he noted. Min­is­ter Ma­lik Iqbal Chan­ner checked both the qual­ity and the prices of dif­fer­ent ed­i­ble items at dif­fer­ent stalls. Dur­ing in­spec­tion the con­sumers ex­pressed their sat­is­fac­tion re­gard­ing the ar­range­ments made for their fa­cil­i­ta­tion and eco­nomic re­lief by pro­vid­ing qual­ity ed­i­bles at con­ces­sion­ary rates in the holy month of Ra­mazan.—APP
