Roads named af­ter em­i­nent cit­i­zens

KARACHI—Karachi Metropolit­can Cor­po­ra­tion (KMC) has hon­oured two of the city’s most em­i­nent so­cial work­ers by nam­ing city roads af­ter them to re­tain their mem­ory in his­tory.

The road in Ko­rangi In­dus­trial area, from road 8000 to road 10,000 has been named af­ter renowned so­cial work­ers Sabeen Mehmood, the em­i­nent so­cial worker who fell vic­tim to tar­get killings some time ago.

The road from Baghe Ibne Qasim to Marine Prom­e­nade has been named af­ter an­other em­i­nent so­cial worker and politi­cian Perveen Rehman, said the an­nounce­ment.
