IGP takes no­tice of fa­tal­i­ties in mo­tor­cy­cle one-wheel­ing

KARACHI—In­spec­tor Gen­eral of Po­lice (IGP) Sindh A.D. Khawaja, tak­ing no­tice of a re­port ap­peared in a sec­tion of the me­dia about deaths in mo­tor­cy­cle one-wheel­ing, has sought a de­tailed re­port from the DIG Hy­der­abad over steps taken to con­trol this dan­ger­ous prac­tice.

A spokesman for the IGP in a state­ment here on Satur­day said that the IGP Sindh has di­rected all the SSPs to take ex­tremely strict mea­sures to curb one-wheel­ing and other risky stunts by mo­tor­cy­clists.The IGP also is­sued in­struc­tions to launch a cam­paign against il­le­gal si­lencers. He also called for le­gal ac­tion at the pro­vin­cial level against the el­e­ments in­volved in vi­o­la­tion of traf­fic rules.

A. D. Khawaja warned that no dere­lic­tion or neg­li­gence in dis­charge of of­fi­cial du­ties will be tol­er­ated.
