IGP takes notice of fatalities in motorcycle one-wheeling
KARACHI—Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh A.D. Khawaja, taking notice of a report appeared in a section of the media about deaths in motorcycle one-wheeling, has sought a detailed report from the DIG Hyderabad over steps taken to control this dangerous practice.
A spokesman for the IGP in a statement here on Saturday said that the IGP Sindh has directed all the SSPs to take extremely strict measures to curb one-wheeling and other risky stunts by motorcyclists.The IGP also issued instructions to launch a campaign against illegal silencers. He also called for legal action at the provincial level against the elements involved in violation of traffic rules.
A. D. Khawaja warned that no dereliction or negligence in discharge of official duties will be tolerated.
