Doc­tors to ob­server strike against bio­met­ric at­ten­dance

AB­BOT­TABAD—The doc­tors’ com­mu­nity has an­nounced complete one-day strike of boy­cotting their duty to­day (Mon­day) in Ayub Teach­ing Hospi­tal to protest for their de­mands in­clud­ing ex­pla­na­tions is­sued to Med­i­cal Of­fi­cers by the hospi­tal ad­min­is­tra­tion for not mak­ing bio­met­ric at­ten­dance.

Ex­cept emer­gency cover, all out door de­part­ments, wards, lab­o­ra­tory, ra­di­ol­ogy depart­ment and op­er­a­tion the­atres will re­main closed dur­ing the day.

This was an­nounced by Pro­vin­cial Doc­tors As­so­ci­a­tion (PDA) Ayub Med­i­cal In­sti­tute Ab­bot­tabad while is­su­ing cir­cu­lar by its Pres­i­dent Dr. Amin­ul­lah Afridi af­ter held an emer­gency meet­ing of the As­so­ci­a­tion. The cir­cu­lar which was also con­veyed to hospi­tal ad­min­is­tra­tion stated that OPDs and all elec­tive ser­vices will not been pro­vided on Mon­day ex­cept emer­gency cover. “In case the no­ti­fi­ca­tion of Bio­met­ric system and ex­pla­na­tion let­ters are not with­drawn on Mon­day.
