Action being taken against profiteers: DCO
RAWALPINDI—District Coordination Officer (DCO) Talat Mehmood Gondal said that Ramzan Sasta Bazaars are providing relief to the consumers. DCO said that prices are being monitored regularly and action is being taken against the profiteers adding that no one would be allowed to cheat the public during the holy month of Ramzan.
He said that consumers can register their complaints who are looting general public and creating artificial shortage to gain more profit.
He said that flour, sugar, vegetables and fruits are being sold on cheaper rates as compared to open market. DCO said that 10 kg flour bag is being sold at Rs 290 while the same weight is being sold in open market at Rs 310. He said that Rice, Dal Chana, sugar and chicken are being sold on subsidized rates in these bazaars.
He said that special cleanliness measures are being ensured besides providing security to the buyers. Talat said that Ramzan Sasta Bazaars set up at different places are facilitating the consumers and they are getting household items on affordable rates.—APP
