Kashmiris insecure in India, students arrests condemned
SRINAGAR—The Chairman of International Forum for Justice and Human Rights, Mohammad Ahsan Untoo has condemned the arrest of female Kashmiri medical students by Delhi police.
Mohammad Ahsan Untoo in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “It has been proved once again that Kashmiris are not safe in any part of India.”
Untoo said, “Four girl students on way from Bangladesh were arrested at Delhi airport just because one of them was carrying a bag with bomb written on it.” He said that instead of checking the bag, Delhi police arrested the girls and put them to questioning for several hours which is violation of human rights.
Untoo said, “Delhi police is fond of harassing Kashmiris by any means which in turn puts a big question mark on the claims of so-called largest democracy.”
Meanwhile, Mr Untoo while releasing the report to the press, said that from 2008 till May 2016, 58 innocent people in the valley.—KMS
