Huge funds al­lo­cated for West­ern route of CPEC: Ah­san

Cur­rency Sell­ing Buy­ing IS­LAM­ABAD—Min­is­ter for Plan­ning and De­vel­op­ment Ah­san Iqbal has said the gov­ern­ment has al­lo­cated been al­lo­cated for BurhanHakla route. He said the 285kilo­me­ter mo­tor­way project to con­nect Dera Is­mail Khan to Hakla area will be com­pleted in two years at a cost of over 129 bil­lion ru­pees.

He said five bil­lion have been al­lo­cated for GwadarTur­bat-Hoshab sec­tion and four bil­lion for HoshabNag-Basima-Surba sec­tion of West­ern route of CPEC.

He said work on the West­ern route is in full swing and Gwadar-Surab Sec­tion will be com­pleted by De­cem­ber 2016 while D.I. Khan sec­tion will be com­pleted by July 2018. The Min­is­ter said the gov­ern­ment is de­ter­mined to com­plet­ing the West­ern on pri­or­ity ba­sis by pro­vid­ing all the re­quired funds for it.—Agen­cies
