Chi­nese Taipei gifts coach to Pak­istan

LA­HORE—With Pak­istan base­ball team need­ing a bat­ting coach at a time when the na­tional out­fit is about to par­tic­i­pate in the World Cup Clas­sic qual­i­fy­ing round, the Chi­nese Taipei has fi­nally come to its res­cue by ap­prov­ing a bat­ting coach for the team to help it fare strongly in the qual­i­fy­ing round.

The World Cup Clas­sic qual­i­fy­ing round will be held in New York from Sept 20 to 24.

Good per­for­mance in the World Cup qual­i­fy­ing round by the na­tional team will open a new vista of op­por­tu­ni­ties for Pak­istan play­ers.

Talk­ing to me­dia per­sons, head coach of the na­tional team Mus­sadiq Hanif said that though Pak­istan had good pitch­ers, a bat­ting coach was the need of the hour, adding the mat­ter was solved when the Chi­nese Taipei Base­ball Fed­er­a­tion gifted a bat­ting coach to Pak­istan. The name of the coach would be con­veyed to him later on, he fur­ther said while com­ment­ing that the Pak­istan Fed­er­a­tion Base­ball (PFB) had al­ready set up an eight-month long train­ing camp to help play­ers pre­pare them­selves for the all im­por­tant event.—Agen­cies
