Pakistan Observer - - KARACHI CITY -

KARACHI—The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Sindh, A.D. Khawaja, has asked SSPs to visit the families of martyrs of the Police Department.

A statement here on Sunday said that he also instructed them to ensure the disbursement of Rs. 5,000 per family that was allocated from the AIG Welfare. The IGP hoped that the SSPs would increase this amount from their own side as well.

He said that the gazetted officers of the Police Department should visit the homes of the Shaheeds and spend some time with the families.

They should also listen to the problems of the families and help resolve them.

The IGP said that the sacrifices of the Shaheeds should be remembered and ensure that the families should not feel that they are alone.

The visits would ensure the families that the Police Department is with them.—APP
