10 ar­rested over tak­ing bathing in canal

FAISALABAD—The lo­cal po­lice claimed to have ar­rested 10 per­sons in­clud­ing teenagers over tak­ing bath in the Rakh Branch canal here on Mon­day. Po­lice sources told me­dia that some youths were vi­o­lat­ing the ban of tak­ing bath in the canal which has been im­posed by the lo­cal ad­min­is­tra­tion, the po­lice along with ad­min­is­tra­tive of­fi­cers con­ducted raids and ar­rested 10 per­sons red handed near Pi­pan­wala Bridge.

These ac­cused have been locked be­hind bars and fur­ther ac­tion against them is un­der progress, the spokesman added.10 pick­pock­ets ar­rested from Al­lied Hos­pi­tal: The Civil Line po­lice have claimed to ar­rest 10 pick­pock­ets from Al­lied Hos­pi­tal here on Mon­day. Ac­cord­ing to Po­lice spokesman, on public com­plaints, a crack­down was launched at pick­pock­ets in Al­lied Hos­pi­tal.

Dur­ing this move, the po­lice suc­ceeded in nab­bing 10 pick­pock­ets in­clud­ing Qadir of Jhang Road, Asif of Chicha Watni, Ali Haidar of Jhang Bazaar etc. The po­lice also re­cov­ered money and mo­bile phones from them and locked the ac­cused be­hind bars for fur­ther in­ves­ti­ga­tion about their gangs, spokesman added.—APP
