LA­HORE—The La­hore High Court on Mon­day over­ruled ob­jec­tions of the reg­is­trar of­fice on a pe­ti­tion filed by Pak­istan Sunni Tehreek’s leader Sar­wat Ejaz Qadri chal­leng­ing ban on his en­try in the prov­ince. The mat­ter was fixed as an ob­jec­tion case be­fore Jus­tice Mehmood Maq­bool Ba­jwa about the ob­jec­tion raised by the reg­is­trar of­fice in­di­cat­ing point that the pe­ti­tioner did not at­tach a read­able copy of the Home De­part­ment no­ti­fi­ca­tion re­gard­ing ban on his en­try. How­ever, the court af­ter hear­ing ar­gu­ments or­dered for fix­ing the mat­ter be­fore a bench while re­mov­ing the ob­jec­tion. The pe­ti­tioner prayed to the court to set aside the no­ti­fi­ca­tion is­sued by the Home De­part­ment for ban­ning his en­try to the prov­ince of Pun­jab.—APP
