Karachi oper­a­tion to con­tinue till elim­i­na­tion of last ter­ror­ist: Siyal

LARKANA—Sindh Home Min­is­ter So­hail An­war Siyal on Mon­day said that law and or­der sit­u­a­tion in Sindh is much bet­ter than be­fore. He said that Karachi oper­a­tion would be con­tin­ued against the ter­ror­ists, tar­get killers, ex-tor­tion­ists and other crim­i­nal el­e­ments till the elim­i­na­tion of last ter­ror­ist. He ex­pressed these views while talk­ing to me­dia af­ter cer­tifi­cates dis­tri­bu­tion cer­e­mony un­der Sha­heed Be­nazir Bhutto Youth De­vel­op­ment Pro­gram (BBSYDP) here.

Home Min­is­ter claimed that Karachi oper­a­tion has yielded pos­i­tive re­sults and law and or­der sit­u­a­tion in rest of parts of prov- ince has been im­proved. To ques­tion about chang­ing of his port­fo­lio, he replied “I have been lis­ten­ing about chang­ing of my min­istry for three months, but ru­mors proved baseless, how­ever, ministries are meant to be changed, sta­tus of a party worker is big as­set, I will con­tinue to strug­gle and serve as party worker, Siyal said.

Re­ply­ing an­other query, re­gard­ing the protest of me­dia and bar­ring the jour­nal­ists from cov­er­age in Sindh As­sem­bly ses­sion, he said that af­ter in­ci­dent hap­pened in as­sem­bly, what ever jour­nal­ist did in Sindh As­sem­bly, aftermath Speaker has tight­ened the se­cu­rity ar­range­ments. He him­self deals se­cu­rity mat­ters, even elected mem­bers are be­ing checked due to se­cu­rity con­cern.
