NAB re­mands Saleem Shah

QUETTA—An Ac­count­abil­ity Court Quetta Mon­day re­manded Saleem Shah, ex-ad­min­is­tra­tor of Mu­nic­i­pal Com- mit­tee Khaliqabad in the cus­tody of the Na­tional Ac­count­abil­ity Bureau in mega cor­rup­tion case. The NAB team brought the ac­cused, Saleem Shah at the Ac­count­abil­ity Court and pre­sented him be­fore the court. The Judge, Ab­dul Ma­jeed Nasar con­ducted hear­ing and re­manded the ac­cused in the cus­tody of the NAB for 15 days.

“The Ac­count­abil­ity Court ac­cepted the NAB re­quest for grant­ing 15-day re­mand of the key ac-cused in mega cor­rup­tion case,” a spokesman for NAB said. He added that the ac­cused later would be pre­sented be­fore the court on July 04. Na­tional Ac­count­abil­ity Bureau (NAB) Balochis­tan had taken Saleem Shah, a wanted ac­cused in mega cor­rup­tion case, into cus­tody af­ter a raid in Sindh prov­ince.

The ac­cused was ar­rested in mega cor­rup­tion case, un­der which ex-fi­nance min­is­ter to chief, Mir Khalid Lan­gove and sus­pended fi­nance sec­re­tary Balochis­tan, Mush­taq Ahmed Raisani were in the re­mand cus­tody of the NAB and were be­ing in­ter­ro­gated.

The NAB Balochis­tan spokesman said that NAB team raided a place in Sindh prov­ince and ar­rested Saleem Shah. “Mr. Shah had dual charge of ad­min­is­tra­tor of Mu­nic­i­pal Com­mit­tees of Mach Bolan and Khaliqabad,” he said. —APP
