Chi­nese del­e­ga­tion calls on NAVTTC ED

ISLAMABAD—In or­der to pro­mote the co­op­er­a­tion and ex­change in vo­ca­tional and ed­u­ca­tional field be­tween Pak­istan and China, a four-mem­ber Chi­nese del­e­ga­tion from Tian­jin Univer­sity of Tech­nol­ogy and Ed­u­ca­tion (TUTE) called on the Ex­ec­u­tive Di­rec­tor NAVTTC, Zul­fiqar Ah­mad Cheema at NAVTTC HQs to­day. TUTE is fa­mous for the cul­ti­va­tion of teach­ing staff for vo­ca­tional in­sti­tutes in China. The del­e­ga­tion com­prised Ms. Zhai Fengjie, Di­rec­tor In­ter­na­tional Ex­change Of­fice, Mr. Xie Chao, Dean of Col­leges of Fur­ther Ed­u­ca­tion, Mr. Zhang Yuzhou, Di­rec­tor En­gi­neer­ing Train­ing Cen­ter, and Ms. Simin Chen, Cul­tural At­tache’ of Chi­nese Em­bassy.

On this occasion, Zul­fiqar Cheema briefed the del­e­ga­tion about the re­cent ini­tia­tives of NAVTTC to in­tro­duce re­forms in the cur­rent TVET sys­tem of Pak­istan in­clud­ing es­tab­lish­ment of Job Place­ment Cen­ter, etc. The Ex­ec­u­tive Di­rec­tor em­pha­sized that the CPEC would open new vis­tas of prosperity and de­vel­op­ment and en­sure em­ploy­ment op­por­tu­ni­ties for the peo­ple of Pak­istan. He urged that both the coun­tries should en­hance their col­lab­o­ra­tion to re­boot the TVET sys­tem in Pak­istan.

The del­e­ga­tion ex­tended their full co­op­er­a­tion and both sides agreed to take up co- projects like build­ing the Cen­ter of Ex­cel­lence and a teacher’s train­ing pro­gram.
