Il­le­gal, haz­ardous bill­boards to be re­moved from city: Ebad

KARACHI—Gov­er­nor Sindh Dr. Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan has said that il­le­gal and haz­ardous bill boards and hoardings would be re­moved from city’s roads by 25th June so as to en­sure safety of Karachi­ites spe­cially in mon­soon sea­son.

Ac­tion is be­ing taken against il­le­gal hy­drants and no pres­sure would be ac­cepted in this re­gard.

This he said while talk­ing with me­dia men out­side Be­nazir Bhutto Sha­heed Park Clifton af­ter a whirl­wind visit to the City ar­eas of Lucky Star, Shahra e Quaideen, Shahra e Faisal, Karsaaz,Ko­rangi Road and Boat Basin.

The Gov­er­nor in­spected var­i­ous de­vel­op­ment works and re­moval of haz­ardous and il­le­gal bill boards which are be­ing dis­man­tled on the di­rec­tives of Supreme Court.

The Sta­tion Com­man­der Karachi,Com­mis­sioner Karachi, Ad­min­is­tra­tor Karachi, con­cerned Deputy Com­mis­sion­ers also ac­com­pa­nied the Gov­er­nor, says a state­ment on Mon­day.

Gov­er­nor said that the haz­ardous and il­le­gal bill boards would be re­moved at all costs and af­ter the ex­piry of dead line in this re­gard ac­tion would be ini­ti­ated against those ad­ver­tis­ers whose such bill boards are found on city roads.

He stated that bill boards on Shahra e Faisal, Shahra e Quaideen, Shahra e Pak­istan, Ko­rangi Road and Clifton are be­ing re­moved on pri­or­ity as these are the busiest roads.
